All Oiks Now - Press Coverage
Posted by Michael Mosbacher
Digby Anderson's recent All Oiks Now sparked a lively debate in the press about whether Middle England is still alive.
Interesting reviews include What's Wrong With Britain? Less than the Jeremiahs allow by Charles Moore in the Telegraph, a more critical analysis, Middle dearth in an Observer leader, and on a somewhat more unusual note There's no such word as toilet in the Telegraph's Way of the world column.
Update 7th February 2005: All Oiks Now has now also received an interesting and thoughtful review, by Stefan Beck of the New Criterion, in the Hoover Institution's Policy Review: Out, Damned Lout.
Update 10th April 2005: Tim Adams searches for Middle England and discusses All Oiks Now in today's Observer: This Green and Pleasant Land.
