Tory A list update: Twenty more women added to the A list - to all intents and purposes the A list will be closed for new candidates after Christmas

As expected, the latest batch of new entries to the Tory A list of candidates is heavily weighted towards women. Twenty more women have been added to the A list. There is likely to be a huge top up at Christmas with the intention of the list being largely filled up by then. After that the candidates department will allow a trickle of a few more candidates to join the A list, but for all intents and purposes the list will then be effectively closed. Aspirant A list candidates have until Christmas to see their hopes realised.
